Elizabeth Grand Chapter's HBCU Scholarship 2024 Recipients

Applicants who are interested in the Elizabeth Grand Chapter OES HBCU College Scholarship are strongly encouraged to apply, providing that the following selection criteria are met:

• Must be a current HBCU Student.
• Must be an Undergraduate.
• Must have a Minimum 2.5 GPA. 
• Must be Black/African American.
• Must be a US citizen or hold a permanent resident visa card.
• Must participate in community service activities.

To become an Elizabeth Grand Chapter OES College Scholarship recipient, the following requirements must be met: 

• Complete the ECG Scholarship Application.      
• Compose a 500-word Essay from the topics listed below.
• Provide 1 Letter of Recommendation on letterhead from a School Official or Community Leader.
• Submit the ECG Scholarship Application, 500-word Essay and Letter of Recommendation by Sunday March 31, 2024.

Select only 1 related topic to compose your 500-word Essay. Remember that your essay is an opportunity for you to share something about yourself, that the scholarship committee cannot learn from your application.

• Overcoming Adversity 
• Impactful Community Service Experience

Scholarship Recipients are awarded up to $500 and must attend the Elizabeth Grand Chapter Spring Sneaker Soirée to receive funds. The Spring Sneaker Soirée will be held at the Miami Lake Hotel on Friday April 19, 2024 at 8:00pm.
